Fikeaw Yaowarat, located in the vibrant Soi Yaowarat of Bangkok’s Chinatown, is a seafood lover's paradise. Despite its humble street-side setup, this restaurant has garnered rave reviews for its exceptional dishes. Patrons like komala dewi highlight the perfectly cooked fried red snapper, which boasts a crispy exterior and tender flesh. The garlic morning glory accompaniment delivers a burst of flavors, making simple dishes shine.
Another standout is the pad Thai, famously described by Deric Lima (Zuka) as the best he’s ever tasted. Although it’s part of the hidden menu, the wait is justified as each dish is crafted with care. Meanwhile, the seafood offerings, such as fresh lobster and grilled octopus with spicy dipping sauce, received applause from customers like Kangsadarn Tansiriviwat, who couldn't stop indulging even after the heat set in.
While not every dish is a hit, as noted by Nikki Chew, the highlights of Fikeaw Yaowarat far outweigh the misses. If you find yourself navigating the bustling streets of Bangkok, make sure this gem is on your culinary itinerary; it promises an unforgettable taste of authentic street food.

When you're in Bangkok's Chinatown, skipping this spot would be a big mistake. It may just a humble street side setup, not a fancy restaurant, buuuut the food is on another level. Everything is cooked and served in a surprisingly clean and neat way. We had a big fried red snapper, perfectly crispy on the outside, tender and tasty inside, and garlic morning glory that was full of flavor. Simple dishes but done so well.
This was the best pad Thai I tried in my life!!!!!! Omg, I go there every day for dinner to eat their pad Thai. It's incredibly tasty. The only thing is that pad Thai is part of their hidden menu, so you need to ask them for it. It takes 40 mins for them to make the pad Thai but it's worth the wait.
If you go to Chinatown in Bangkok and don't eat at this place, you're missing out on the most delicious street food. They prepare and serve their street food in a very clean way.
Food is very nice ! But the garlic fried pork is disappointing and the morning glory is just normal . Other that that, lobster , Tom yum and crab taste very good!
A local street restaurant surrounded by bustling foot traffic in Chinatown, one of Bangkok’s top tourist spots. We ordered a medium-sized fresh lobster, cooked with butter and garlic, highly recommended! The stir-fried morning glory and baked oysters with cheese were also excellent. We also tried the very spicy dried Poh Tak (a type of seafood spicy soup). It was so delicious, I couldn’t stop eating even though my mouth was on fire! The grilled octopus with spicy seafood dipping sauce was another highlight ,seriously addictive.
Came here based on a bartender’s recommendation. And we are pleasantly surprised by the food! We had amazing prawn dishes and we had really good salt-grilled sea bass fish. Will certainly return!
Fikaew is my favorite restaurant in all of Bangkok. The seafood is fantastic as is everything on the menu. It’s always busy so don’t be surprised if there is a queue. 10/10. The baby kale is killer. The lobsters are killer. The crispy pork with chili and garlic is killer. It’s all killer.
We arrived early at 6pm (opening time) and there were already few other couples/groups around. The space can accommodate only about 40 pax so good to arrive earlier to ensure that you get better seats. We order 3 dishes with 2 drinks for 2 pax and it totalled up to about 2900 baht. Grilled lobster with garlic butter River prawn with glass noodles Stirred fried Garlic pork Everything was delicious and the lobster is so fresh and juicy, will visit again. Ps, get ready your mosquito repellent and fan, there were many bugs flying and it can quite get stuffy around that area.
